BIOGRAPHY
Jerred Metz, earned a Ph.D. in literature and philosophy from the University of Minnesota. He has taught literature and writing at several universities. He has had several careers in addition. Five books of poetry—Speak like Rain, Angels in the House, The Temperate Voluptuary, Brains, 25 Cents: Drive In, and Three Legs up, Cold as Stone: Six Legs down, Blood and Bone, three of non-fiction prose—Drinking the Dipper Dry: Nine Plain-Spoken Lives; Halley’s Comet, 1910: Fire in the Sky, and The Last Eleven Days of Earl Durand have been published. His novel, The Angel of Mons: A World War I Legend,appeared in 2014.
Phil Sultz studied at the Albright Art School in Buffalo, New York, Cranbrook Academy of Art, and Accademia De Bella Arte in Rome. He taught at the Kansas City Art Institute and School of Design, the Rhode Island School of Design and Webster University in St. Louis, where he is Professor Emeritus. Phil was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Grant in painting.
His work has been exhibited extensively in the United States, in Australia, Canada, Italy and Finland. Many solo and many selected group exhibitions. His work is in public collections, notably Mohawk Nation Museum, Museum of Applied Arts: Helsinki, Finland, New York Public Library: New York, and Paris Bibliotheque. In New York Allan Stone Gallery represents him. Sultz also writes poetry and flash stories. Many have appeared in magazines. Tom Lang graduated from Ohio State University. Professor since 1972 and Chair of the Art Department at Webster University for twenty years. Lang is internationally known for his paper and printmaking. He is also noted for his work in art education. The art gallery at the Webster University Vienna, Austria campus is named for him. He teaches there every summer.
